Appointments with ASC staff
Monday-Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
We offer online and in-person appointments. Just visit us in 6D.2 (second floor of the Library) or access our appointment calendar online through Omnivox (Omnivox > Student Services > Academic Skills Centre Appointments).
Appointments with Math and Science Peer Tutors
Beginning June 25!
Monday-Thursday 12:00pm – 5:00pm
We offer in-person assistance with Math and Science Peer Tutors during regular drop-in hours. You don’t need to make an appointment; just bring your questions and course materials to the Academic Skills Centre office, on the second floor of the Library.
Handouts to Help Plan Your Semester
To make an online or in-person appointment with a staff member or peer tutor, log into Omnivox and click on Academic Skills Centre Appointments under the Student Services heading on the left near the bottom of the menu. Appointments can also be booked by coming to the centre in 6.D2 (second floor of the library).

Academic Skills Centre Services
College students often need a little help with their studies. The role of Dawson’s Academic Skills Centre is to help students improve their learning, reading and writing skills. Students can meet with professionals and peer tutors on an individual basis or in small groups.
Helping all Dawson students achieve their goals
Our professional individualized support includes:

- Study skills and note-taking
- Academic reading and critical thinking
- Oral presentations
- Exam preparation
- English Exit Exam preparation
Our peer support includes:
- English language tutoring
- Tutoring for most courses
