Anna de Aguayo has been teaching at Dawson College since 2002. She holds a B.A. (Anthropology) from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. (Economics) from the University of London. She is at the dissertation stage of a Ph.D. (Anthropology) from the University of Toronto. Anna?s fieldwork includes a study of economic development in Sumatra, Indonesia, First Nations self-government in British Columbia, and berry pickers and border crossings in New Brunswick. Anna teaches Introduction to Anthropology, Amerindians, Anthropology of Sexuality, Research Methods, Quantitative Methods, and Integrative Seminar (Fast Food Nation). She is associated with the Child Studies and Women?s Studies profiles. Anna also maintains the Anthropology in Film website and heads the Dawson Odd Objects Detectives.
Maciek Domanski began teaching at Dawson in 2003. His degrees include a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology (Concordia University), M.Sc. in Anthropology (Universite de Montreal), Ph.D. in Anthropology (Universite de Montreal) and a Doctorate in Sociology (University of Warsaw). He has done fieldwork in Italy, Canada and Poland. His research interests include, among other things the refugee and immigrant experience, ethnicity and discourse analysis. Maciek teaches Introduction to Anthropology, Development of Civilization, Quantitative Methods and Research Methods. He is associated with the Child Studies profile. He enjoys rock climbing, mountaineering, canoeing, and off-trail skiing.
Cornelia Howell joined Dawson College in 1998. She holds a Minor in Russian Studies (Universit de Montral), a B.A. in Anthropology (Concordia University) and a M.Sc. in Anthropology (Universit de Montral). For her fieldwork, she studied parenthood through adoption in Montral. Cornelia teaches Introduction to Anthropology, Medical Anthropology, The Anthropology of Parenthood, and Race and Racism. Cornelia is associated with the Child Studies profile.
