Marium Choonara

Receiving this scholarship has had a profound impact on me. It makes me feel as though my hard work, efforts and contributions have merit and that they are recognized and valued. I now feel as though despite the fact that I am only one person, I have the ability to leave a mark and that I will be able to leave one on the justice system and make a difference for minorities, vulnerable groups and victims of crime. This scholarship will also help me finance my degree, which will allow me to work less during the year and allocate more time to serving the community by volunteering in legal clinics during my time in law school.
