Getting this award is not only a privilege, but it also means a lot to me because it shows that hard work, determination, and above all, compassionate care are valued. I discovered the beauties of caregiving when I became a personal caregiver for my grandfather who recently passed away. I intend to carry the torch of the nursing profession to make a difference in other people’s lives, like past and present nurses have done for my family.
