Black Business & Professional Association National Scholarships
The BBPA National Scholarship Program (NSP) was established in 1986 and is dedicated to supporting and promoting the achievement of academic excellence by Black Canadian youth through an annual scholarship program. It was borne out of the need to reduce the rate at which Black students drop out of school despite their rising intellect, due to unavailability of funds.
Various awards with different criteria (some for Arts & Science, Business Admin, Social Services and many for any full-time program) are available to Black Canadian students.

Dialogue McGill Retention Bursary – Montérégie East
MEPEC (Montérégie East Partnership for the English-speaking Community) has partnered with Dialogue McGill to offer a bursary under the Retention program to students who reside in Montérégie East and are enrolled full-time in Health or Social Services. Students who receive these bursaries must commit to working in public health institutions or related organizations in the Montérégie East for one year for each year that they are funded.

The Empowered Woman Scholarship Award sponsored by author Alvina Ryan is dedicated to empowering, supporting, and promoting the achievement and academic excellence of a female Black student. TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples
Students from the Indigenous community face unique challenges and systemic barriers that can make getting a post-secondary education difficult. So, TD worked closely with AFOA Canada to build a scholarship program that helps meets the unique needs of students from the Indigenous community. Regardless of your field of study, scholarships are open to First Nation, Metis and Inuit who are members / citizen of a First Nation, Metis or Inuit community who have applied for a full-time minimum 2-year program with an approved post-secondary institution for the next year of study; or are enrolled in, or accepted to, a full-time minimum two-year program with an approved post-secondary institution for the next year of study.
United Irish Societies Scholarship
The United Irish Societies of Montreal Scholarship was created in 2019 by Lori Morrison, the UIS Communications Chairperson, and is being funded by both Lori and her sister Kayra Morrison. This Scholarship will be given to a selected outstanding young person between the ages of 18-25 within Montreal’s Irish Community.
