This course is designed for students who want to increase their proficiency in written English. It will examine the three main areas of English grammar: its morphology (word structure), its word classes (parts of speech), and its syntax (sentence structure).

Major emphasis will be placed upon the study of the different levels of sentence structure and the elements of the writing system, such as spelling and punctuation. In addition, participants will study paragraph writing and have the opportunity to compose texts on different topics.
