English Conversation Workshop – Advanced level – B (Online)

Prerequisite: Self-Evaluation for Non- credit workshop at Intermediate level
Intended Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Knowledge: be able to use past forms, relative pronouns, causal verbs, and phrasal verbs
  • Language Skills: infer intentions, identify degree of certainty, infer purpose of questions, and infer contrasting ideas
  • Attitudes: have confidence contributing to conversation; develop more natural English intonation and diction, and become more comfortable speaking English in front of a group of people.

Methodology:
Using the textbook as a guide, the instructor will lead group discussions and debates to enrich the learner’s oral comprehension and oral expression skills. Learners will have the opportunity to contribute to conversation and present on various topics.
