Bio
Mark Mattei is a faculty member in the Physiotherapy Technology Program. While pursuing his graduate studies in education Mark developed an interest in blended learning and has been exploring blended learning course design since. Mark joined the E-learning community of practice in 2020 and has continued to participate in the community of practice as a co-coordinator since 2021.
Description
My portfolio is presented in two parts/videos. In the first video I share my preconceptions about learning in the online environment and discuss how my views of learning in the online environment have evolved after having studied and taught in blended learning environments.
In the second video, I share some examples of learning objects (instructional strategies) that I have designed and used in a physiotherapy technology course that I taught during the pandemic when courses were fully online. I discuss the pedagogical advantages of each learning object (instructional strategy) and share some student feedback.
