Prospective students, their parents, friends and visitors are welcome to come to Dawson any day to get a feel for the place, take a self-guided tour and enjoy some campus experiences.
Dawson College is open to the public:
- Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 11 PM
- Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM
- The Dawson Library is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM; on Fridays from 7:30 AM to 5 PM and is closed on the weekend.
Please note that the College is closed on Sundays, statutory holidays and the period between Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, inclusive.
Some ideas for visiting the College:
- Arrive by Atwater Metro entrance and take our brand-new Self-Guided Tour
- Come by Dawson after your high school day is over. You will see Dawson in action because classes are on from 8 AM to 10 PM.
- Make it a family event and come to Dawson with your parent(s)
- Invite a friend to your Dawson experience
- Pair your Dawson trip with a fun activity happening at Dawson (a theatre show, a basketball game, visit to the art gallery or take in another event open to the public)
- Come on your own when it suits you best

Prepare for your visit
- Bring your mobile phone/tablet and ear buds to take the new self-guided tour
- Wear comfortable walking shoes (lots of stairs and walking)
- Arrive by the Atwater Metro Entrance, the departure point for the self-guided tour; one floor down from the 4001 de Maisonneuve street level entrance

- Enjoy a play staged by students in Dawson’s Professional Theatre Program. Box Office info.
- Cheer for the Dawson Blues at a home game. See the games schedule.
- Try out the cafeteria near the 4001 de Maisonneuve street entrance, which is open during the semester Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 8 PM and on Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Check out the academic calendar dates.
- Visit the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery, which is open Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM and on Saturday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
