The Dawson Blues Band has been actively preparing for the launch of their first video, Lean on Me, slated for Tuesday, May 19. The premiere of the first song will be a celebration to cheer the Dawson College community and friends of Dawson. The show must go on! The upcoming production of Masques will be livestreamed.
The Professional Theatre Department welcomes you to attend Masques, written and performed by the graduating students. A vocal masque is a style of performance in which one actor plays multiple characters, telling an original story. This event will be live-streamed May 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Congratulations to second year Professional Theatre student Fanny Dvorkin. Fanny is the recipient of a $500 ART APART award from the National Theatre School of Canada. Her project will be broadcast on the NTS website and Facebook page on Thursday, May 7. Her filmed performance focuses on the isolation caused by COVID-19, while exploring the notion of gender in a private world.
Third-year student Alejandrina Hernandez returned to her home country in late 2018 to visit family and friends, and the experience marked her. She was determined to do something in response to the humanitarian crisis she witnessed along the border of Venezuela and Colombia.

Dawson student Aaron Dalangin won second place in the 2020 Intercollegiate Unplugged Singing Competition, which took place virtually on April 27.
