New copper roof project going well

The project to install a new copper roof on the E wing is advancing very well, according to Véronique Paris of Facilities Management.
It is on schedule to be completed by mid-October.
The project is using traditional methods and is being featured this week as part of National Roofers Week Aug. 24-28.

Dawson opening up as day shelter
April 21st, 2020
Beginning today, Dawson College is opening up 3C.1 as an indoor day shelter.
The shelter will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and clients will enter by 2100 Atwater. The use of Dawson is restricted to 3C.1, also known as the third floor cafeteria.
Mobile toilets and sinks are set up outside.

There is art throughout our beautiful heritage building. Sometimes when you pass something every day, you no longer see it. Let's use this time away from the building to appreciate the art we have on campus.
Here is a gallery of professional photos shot in June 2019 of the art work at Dawson. It was commissioned under the 1% rule that public buildings (new or renovated) have to set aside 1% of the budget for art. Special thanks to Alan Stewart and Rhonda Meier for help putting these photos together.
