Theatre student Fanny Dvorkin’s work to be broadcast Thursday

May 5th, 2020

Congratulations to second year Professional Theatre student Fanny Dvorkin. Fanny is the recipient of a $500 ART APART award from the National Theatre School of Canada. Her project will be broadcast on the NTS website and Facebook page on Thursday, May 7. Her filmed performance focuses on the isolation caused by COVID-19, while exploring the notion of gender in a private world.


Today is Giving Tuesday Now

Dawson opening up as day shelter

April 21st, 2020

Beginning today, Dawson College is opening up 3C.1 as an indoor day shelter.

The shelter will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and clients will enter by 2100 Atwater. The use of Dawson is restricted to 3C.1, also known as the third floor cafeteria.

Mobile toilets and sinks are set up outside.

Dawson Physics teachers’ COVID-19 graph in the news

The work of Physics teachers Jonathon Sumner, Sameer Bhatnagar and Jean-François Brière was in the news last week.

They developed an interactive live data visualization of COVID-19 focused on Quebec. The hope was to reinforce social distancing and create a positive feedback loop. Here are the TV reports that featured interviews with Jonathon and Sameer:
