Student Services providing support for student housing needs
January 24th, 2024
Student Services is now providing support for students with housing needs. Amy Soulis of Student Services says the goal is “to inform students of all housing options and the importance of knowing their rights as tenants.”
“We visited numerous dormitory-style housing options around the school and have them listed on our webpage,” said Amy Soulis, who works in Dawson’s Student Employment Centre and has now added housing support to her portfolio. The webpage is Housing (Off Campus) – Dawson College.
Dawson has partnered with Places4students website (Places4Students.com - Dawson College - Montreal, QC) to offer a database of available housing options to students.
Any student who needs assistance can email Amy at: amsoulis@dawsoncollege.qc.ca
Student Services also offered a housing rights workshop last semester. Another one is being considered for this semester. The purpose is to explain renters’ rights to students.

This art project was fully funded by Equitas, a nongovernmental organization based in Montreal that works to advance human rights in Canada and around the world. The project was overseen by MU Mtl, which has a mission to beautify the city of Montreal by creating murals.
