To the wonderful Dawson Community,
On behalf of Student Services, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to help raise awareness for the White Ribbon Campaign. A very special mention to Johanne Rabbat, Coordinator of Women's Gender Studies Certificate and Chair of the Religion department.
Since Monday, we have handed out roughly 500 ribbons, and have been able to connect with many community members.
They shared their personal stories and recollections of the tragic shooting at Polytechnique, which took place 35 years ago on Dec. 6, 1989.
To commemorate the 35th anniversary, we will be installing a small memorial table tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 6 at the top stairs on the 2nd floor.
