40-year installation of Lise-Hélène Larin at CVM

Teacher Lise-Hélène Larin (Fine Arts) is now showing FORÊT/PARADIGME 2020 at the Agora of Cégep du Vieux Montréal (255 Ontario East) until March 13. Lise-Hélène wrote about this exhibit of her work:

“This work is about the process and transformations my installation has undergone for almost 40 years. I made my first tree using a weekend newspaper and elastic bands in 1980, made 300 of them and then invited 400 people to help me complete my forest through a seven-year span of reclaiming and recycling weekend newspapers of La Presse and The Gazette. I first showed this work in 1988. I am now questioning how a work of art can be renewed through time. I am also questioning how we can revise our commitment to the environment.”
