Dawson College is a TEF, TEF Canada, and TEFAQ Testing Centre
Continuing Education & Community Services (CECS) is pleased to announce that Dawson College is now designated as an official testing centre for Test d’Évaluation de Français (TEF). This is a remarkable achievement that highlights our commitment to providing valuable opportunities for language proficiency.
Thanks to our accreditation by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP), we are now empowered to administer the TEF, TEFAQ and TEF Canada exams. These French proficiency tests are recognized by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) for the certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) and by the Citizenship Immigration Canada (CIC) for federal immigration and citizenship application process.
The French Evaluation Test is a standardized test designed to assess the French language proficiency of non-native speakers. It assesses language skills in four sections (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing). The grading scale corresponds to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which ranges from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient).

But there is even more to celebrate! In addition to our role as a testing centre, CECS – through the CTD (Centre for Training & Development) Language Centre – is delighted to offer an online TEF preparation course. Led by experienced instructors who are well-versed in the nuances of the TEF exam, this course is designed to equip clients to achieve their best performance.
