Today is your last chance to register for Ped Days

You will get fresh ideas to reinvigorate your practice at Ped Days 2020.

Usha James is the keynote speaker and she will share a practical framework for approaching teaching and learning that starts with the student. Usha is the executive director of the Critical Thinking Consortium, which developed the framework.

“There are so many educational ideas and trends floating around,” she told D News in a phone interview. “I am not introducing another methodology. I will share a practical philosophy that will help you.”

“We all want students to think critically, but how do I teach a student to think? No teacher has been taught how to do this,” Usha says.

At the keynote event on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m., you will learn tactics and techniques that you can implement in your classes this semester.

The deadline to register for Ped Days has been extended to 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 to help your colleagues giving workshops prepare and to ensure you are included at lunch.
