Registration now open for inclusion and wellness winter retreat
Reflecting on your semester and wondering how you can improve your teaching and classroom environment next term? Upscaling UDL@Dawson is hosting its second all-inclusive two-day retreat! The theme is: Designing to the edges.
Participants will dive into the inclusive design-cycle to better understand our students, identify barriers to learning in our course design and classroom environments, and crowdsource solutions with the support of colleagues and local inclusive facilitators using the framework as a guide.
Each participant will leave the event with a plan to implement concrete changes in one of their courses. Professional staff from departments that support teachers and students are invited, to help us consider how systems approaches to inclusion can contribute to the well-being of all.
Throughout these two fun days workshopping with your colleagues, you will have opportunities to rest, rejuvenate, and participate in wellness activities such as yoga, hiking, snowshoeing, or games night.
The facility can accommodate various alimentary needs and restrictions with its healthy delicious buffet meals.
