Richard Filion has served as Director General of Dawson College since January 2005. His leadership and what he has brought to Dawson has been “remarkable,” said Michael Goldwax, Chair of Dawson’s Board of Governors.

This decade and a half of service to the College will end Dec. 31, 2020. At the Aug. 31 meeting, the Board of Governors was updated about the search process for a new Director General.

The search criteria has been drafted and reviewed by Senate and a Selection Committee has been formed.

The Selection Committee members are: Michael Goldwax, Steve Hatajlo, Azra Khan, Alex McComber, Frank Runcie, Jamie Singerman and Anna Villalta. Jonathon Sumner will be a non-voting member to represent Senate.

The position will soon be widely advertised and the recruitment process will begin. The Selection Committee expects to have a new Director General in place in January.

Updates will be shared in D News.
