Seeking facilitators with practical skills to share with students and staff

Share

This term the Zero Waste Cafe has successfully donated dozens of bags of clothes, boxes of books, as well as free food and snacks to our wonderful community! We have also had two special workshops, the first was Cooking with Jamal, an incredible vegan cooking class, and the second was a beeswax folding workshop where participants created beeswax sheets which can replace clear plastic food wrap indefinitely!

We aim to keep the love going next term by introducing Sustainable & Grown Workshops, hosted by the Zero Waste Cafe, where individuals who attend can learn to repair their own clothing or learn a crafting skill that can save money (quilting, sewing, crochet, knitting) or food-based skills like how to cook vegan meals or water bath canning or financial planning etc.

We would love to invite anyone in the community who has a special skill they would like to impart to the community that enables participants to learn & supports autonomous living, sustainable choices, lower their long-term costs, and have fun!

Please get in touch with Diana Rice to suggest a session you can lead! Deadline: Dec. 23, 2024.
