Seeking participants for study on sleep experiences

Share

The COVID-19 pandemic and remote learning have resulted in a variety of sleep-related problems, as well as some favourable sleep-related outcomes. In a series of qualitative and quantitative studies, environmental and dispositional factors that are protective or have negative impacts on sleep will be identified, with a focus on post-secondary students, faculty, and non-teaching staff with and without disabilities.

Two McGill students, Georgiana Costin and Samantha Wing, will be doing their Honours theses based on this study. They are being supervised by Catherine Fichten of Dawson’s Psychology Department. The Adaptech Research Network has welcomed these two students and are offering them an incredibly valuable research experience, which can be hard to find for undergraduate students.

They are currently looking for Dawson teachers as well as non-teaching staff to participate in this study, which will consist of a one-hour focus group. In appreciation, participants will receive a $30 Amazon gift card. If you are interested in participating or wish to know more, please contact Catherine Fichten of the Psychology Department at cfichten@dawsoncollege.qc.ca.
