Team-teaching information session and workshop for Dawson certificates invitation
Have you ever thought it would be interesting to work with another teacher in your classroom?
- To bring different perspectives into both of your classes
- To create interesting class-based projects that allow students from different courses, or even programs, to work together
- To combine your respective expertise and time to design learning opportunities that enable your students to interact with the wider Montreal community
We invite all faculty who are participating in, or interested in working with, one of Dawson’s Certificates to attend:
A Learning Communities “Lite” Team-Teaching Information Session and Workshop for Dawson Certificates
Friday, May 20 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Co-Lab (3F.43)
This meeting will create opportunities for teachers to think about innovative course designs that can foster integrative learning opportunities both within and across certificates. We will begin with an exploration of the diversity of team-teaching models that have been designed by faculty in the Learning Communities project. These include the model of a paired course, but also many other options – what we are calling “LC-lite” courses – that allow teachers to build courses that run similar to traditional ones, while including built-in, co-designed components. After this, we will open the floor to you – to imagine new possibilities, share your thoughts on what issues you might want to collaborate on, and possibly create some connections that might just flourish into something exciting.
