ACTIVE LEARNING is a response to the classic student question: “Why do we have to learn this?” or its closely related cousin: “Will this be on the test?”. SALTISE is a symbiotic community of developers and users of active learning pedagogies. SALTISE provides resources – human and material – for the development or implementation of active learning in Quebec. The annual conference provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information on the application of theory and development of best practices related to ACTIVE LEARNING.

This year’s theme is: Inspiring Learning, Leveraging Evidence: Changing Models for Designing Instruction. The Conference is expected to attract more than 200 university and college faculty, staff, professionals and administrators; and, graduate students. These individuals come from a diversity of disciplines and interests including, but not limited to: education, science, social science, professional development, educational ITC personnel, teaching assistants, and educational suppliers.
