Ville-Marie All Candidates debate Wednesday September 16, a success
The Law, Society and Justice Profile and the Dawson College Political Science Department are pleased to report that the Ville-Marie All Candidates meeting Wednesday Sept. 16 was a huge success. More than 300 students, faculty and staff packed themselves into 5B.16 to hear (left to right in the picture) Daniel Green (Green Party of Canada), Simon Marchand (Bloc Québécois), Marc Miller (Liberal Party of Canada), Allison Turner (New Democratic Party) and Steve Shanahan (Conservative Party of Canada) present their parties’ platforms and answer many questions from Dawson students. The debate was moderated by Chris Bourne of the Political Science Department (far right in the picture) – who did much of the work in making this event happen.
Thank you to all the teachers who brought classes and gave their students an opportunity to see firsthand the electoral and election processes in Canada. We would like to thank Sarah De Guzman for her technical support and camera work.
