James Mckye

James is a 38 year old trans-masculine Community Worker who moved to Montréal “for the summer” some 13 years ago. During this time he has anchored himself in community knowledge, gleaned through front line interventions with marginalized HIV positive people, trans people, drug users and sex workers and he continues to weave the living history of queer community in Montréal through activism and direct support.

James’ expertise have been enjoyed on a local, provincial and national level for over a decade and he is proud to maintain the core beliefs he declared at age 9: that Santa Clause isn’t real, that boys are NOT better than girls, and that you don’t have to have sex to have a baby.
