Denise is a tenured faculty member in the Social Services Department at Dawson College.  In addition to her work as an educator, she is involved in multiple projects with the aim of enriching her professional community.  Her PhD (in progress, McGill University) focusses on the experiences of social workers working with trauma and professional relationships.  A licensed social worker and psychotherapist since 2001, she has had over a decade of front-line experience.  Her goals are to continue to contribute to society through research efforts, teaching and direct practice, especially with those who are themselves relational workers.
