Expertise
Tonia De Bellis is a researcher in biology, interested in biological invasions and microbial communities. Tonia is leading a project exploring mutualistic interactions between plants and mycorrhizal fungi funded by the FRQNT Programme de recherche pour les chercheurs de collège (2015-18). Specifically, she is interested in whether the relative strength of these positive interactions differ between native and invasive maple trees. She is working with Jean-Philippe Lessard at Concordia University and Steve Kembel at UQAM. She is also an active member of the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS).
