Arts, Literature & Communication Festival 2018

April 30th - May 11th, 2018

The ALC festival is a student-centered event that is designed to engage students from the planning stages to the presenting of all the some 30 events. This festival celebrates the work of our students beyond the classroom, giving them a greater arena to showcase their work.

Project Update

The ALC Festival celebrated student work from the Arts & Culture, Cinema-Communications, Interactive Media Arts, Languages, Literature, and Studio Arts programs at Dawson College.

This year there was a variety of interactive and collaborative works that underline the power of art to draw us together, in the face of entropy and isolation. Visitor were able to test videogames, interact with ‘smart’ sculptures, attend creative readings and vernissages, and celebrate collaborations between student authors, illustrators, designers, dancers, artists, musicians, and videographers.

Event descriptions are available via the ALC online festival calendar at https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/alc-festival/
