Media Night fall 2018
December 6th, 2018Media Night is a public event at the Dawson Theatre that showcases films and other media-related projects made by students in the Cinema + Communications Profile and ALC program in a public event held at the end of term. Parents, teachers, colleagues and friends attend the event. The projects are judged by media experts and awarded prizes such as best sound design, best documentary, etc.
Project Update
Another successful Media Night at Dawson College. The show had an audience of students, alumni, faculty and family members. There was over 90 minutes of videos screened in the categories of Animation, Narrative, Documentary and Experimental, which were judged by alumni and current Concordia student Lorenzo Gutierrez. He was joined by faculty member Michelle Smith and Johnny Macri a design and advertising professional.
Overall the event was a great achievement organized and programed by the students, with eight awards given to students for their achievement in the craft of video making.
