The Dawson College Model United Nations (DCMUN) is proudly hosting the third edition of the Montreal United Nations Conference (MUNC) this year Nov. 27-29 (http://m-unc.org/). MUNC combines the exciting thrills of political simulation with extensive educational opportunities for all its participants.

We are looking forward to once more deliver an incredibly rich academic experience to secondary, college and university students, while keeping MUNC’s simulation of the United Nations authentic and innovative. Our diverse committees will seek to highlight the work of the UN throughout the past 70 years and how those actions affect contemporary world issues.

The Secretary General of MUNC is Jonathan Sassoon. He has put together a diverse team of over 50 students to organize and run MUNC. Jonathan is a graduate of Dawson College in the Liberal Arts program, presently studying law at the University of Montreal. He has participated at MUNC since its founding, having previously been a delegate on the United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee in 2013 and the Chair of the United Nations Global Compact Board in 2014. As Secretary-General, Jonathan and his team are hard at work, crafting the perfect Model UN experience for delegates that will highlight the importance of the UN in its 70th anniversary!All students are welcome to register as delegates or get involved to help make MUNC a success again this year. Everyone is invited to attend and get involved!
