Onkwaká:rá is a collaborative story telling series between the First Peoples’ Centre and the Dawson College Peace Centre. Each month we will bring in a speaker from an Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) Nation to share a story. There will be diversity of speakers and stories. The stories will range from correcting erroneous narratives about Indigenous peoples’, exploring the idea of storytelling, as well as stories handed down from one generation to the next.
