Personal Experiences of Climate Change in the Marshall Islands
Students in “Intro to Geography and the Environment” have connected with Linber Anej, a resident of the Marshall Islands, to better understand the impact of climate change on his country and other low-lying islands. This project was student-initiated and includes a video Q&A session with Anej and our entire class, and ongoing communication as students work on final projects focused on the Marshall Islands. Connecting with Anej allows us to hear directly from someone experiencing climate change in their own community – giving us powerful insight into the personal costs of carbon pollution and the global movement for climate action.
