Registering or Renewing SAAC Services

 

Students previously registered with the SAAC - current Dawson students

Accommodations must be requested and reactivated every semester; they do not automatically renew. The day after finalizing your course registration, you can go to the “Self Registration” module and request a renewal of your accommodations online. The deadline to request your accommodations for Fall 2024 is November 8, 2024

 

Student NOT previously registered with the SAAC - current Dawson students

Students who have never registered with our service and wish to review their eligibility are encouraged to are asked to complete the Online Pre-Intake form as soon as possible.  Once we receive the completed form, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with an Adapted Services counsellor.Deadline to review eligibility for Fall 2024 is November 8, 2024 (few exceptions may apply)

 

Newly admitted students to Dawson

Documentation or information about the student’s disability or situation are not transferred from High School to Cegep.  The student is responsible for making the initial contact with our service. Prior to receiving accommodations at Dawson, you will have to meet with an Adapted Services Counsellor and are encouraged to begin the process as soon as possible by completing our Online Pre-Intake form.Fall admittance: We expect to contact students in June to schedule an appointment. These appointments will typically take place during the summer months but due to high demands, may run into the start of the semester.Winter admittance: We expect to contact students in December or early January to schedule an appointment. Given the short break between semesters, appointment may run into the start of the semester.
