Primer Encuentro por el Desarrollo Sostenible en Instituciones de Educación Básica del Estado de Morelos

El 8 de febrero se llevó a cabo el Primer Encuentro por el Desarrollo Sostenible en Instituciones de Educación Básica del Estado de Morelos, convocado por el IEBEM, Earth Charter International, El Colegio de Morelos, la Academia de Matemáticas de la UNAM y la Secretaría de Desarrollo Sustentable del estado de Morelos.
El evento, tuvo lugar en el Jardín Huayacan, en Jiutepec, Morelos. Participaron directores de escuelas, relacionados con el tema ambiental.
Del Proyecto Planteles Educativos Sustentables asistimos: Paulina López Moguel y Margarita Hurtado (Ciudades Verdes, S.C.), Jorge Arturo Domínguez (UPN Morelos), Jorge Alberto Viana (Preparatoria Comunitaria de Tres Marías de la UAEM) y Petya Yordanova (estudiante del Dawson College, internships).
El Encuentro tuvo por objetivo: Alinear, potenciar y facilitar la labor docente en las matrículas relacionadas con la Educación Ambiental en el Marco del Desarrollo Sostenible y del Nuevo Modelo Educativo.
El programa incluyó la presentación de interesantes Conferencias magistrales:
· Situación y perspectiva ambiental en el planeta, a cargo del Dr. Antonio Sarmiento, del Instituto de Matemáticas UNAM/Protect our Planet
· Situación y perspectiva ambiental en el Estado de Morelos, por el Mtro. Topiltzin Contreras MacBeath, de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Sustentable del Estado de Morelos
· Marco de la Educación para el Siglo XXI en la Agenda 20-30 UNESCO, por el Dr. Luis Tamayo Pérez, Rector de El Colegio de Morelos
· La Carta de la Tierra. Un marco de valores para la Educación, por la Dra. Laura Ortíz Hernández de Punto Focal Regional en la Carta de la Tierra en México, UNESCO
· Rompiendo Paradigmas, a cargo del L.A. Carlos I. Iturbe Ribera, Presidente de Terra Fraterna. A.C.
Las conferencias fueron el marco para la reflexión acerca de la crítica situación de nuestro planeta y de la urgente necesidad de responder desde las instituciones educativas generando cambios.
La diversidad de temas abordados a través de las conferencias, brindó a los asistentes información de actualidad en torno a los problemas ambientales globales y locales y presentó elementos para contextualizar las posibles intervenciones del profesorado en el Marco de la Educación para el Siglo XXI en la Agenda 20-30 UNESCO y del Nuevo Modelo Educativo.
En la segunda parte del Encuentro, los asistentes estuvieron en mesas de trabajo orientadas a organizar acciones en el marco de la Red de escuelas verdes, que les brindará la oportunidad de participar en talleres y seminarios de su Programa 2018, así como el acceso a la gestión de recursos para la implementación de proyectos y el contar con una Guía de Educación Ambiental alineada al Nuevo Modelo Educativo.
Para el proyecto Planteles Educativos Sustentables, asistir al Encuentro, representó una oportunidad de entablar y fortalecer vínculos interinstitucionales, establecer alianzas e impulsar juntos estrategias que contribuyan a transitar hacia la sustentabilidad y así avanzar en el logro del objetivo de nuestro Proyecto.
First Meeting for Sustainable Development in Basic Education Institutions of the State of Morelos

On February 8, the First Encounter for Sustainable Development in Basic Education Institutions of the State of Morelos was held, convoked by IEBEM, Earth Charter International, El Colegio de Morelos, the Mathematics Institute of the UNAM and the Secretariat of Sustainable Development of the state of Morelos.
The event took place in the Huayacan Garden in Jiutepec, Morelos. School directors, related to the environmental subject, participated.
The attendants from the Sustainable Campuses Project were: Paulina López Moguel y Margarita Hurtado (Ciudades Verdes, S.C.), Jorge Arturo Domínguez (UPN Morelos), Jorge Alberto Viana (Preparatoria Comunitaria de Tres Marías de la UAEM) y Petya Yordanova (Dawson College student, internships).
The meeting had as a goal to: Aline, promote and facilitate the teaching work in the enrollments related to Environmental Education in the Framework of Sustainable Development and the New Educational Model.
The program included the presentation of interesting magistral Conferences:
· Situation and environmental perspective in the planet, in charge of the Dr. Antonio Sarmiento, from the Mathematics Institute UNAM/Protect our Planet
· Situation and environmental perspective in the state of Morelos, by the Professor Topiltzin Contreras MacBeath, from the Sustainable development secretary of the state of Morelos
· Framework for Education for the XXI Century in the UNESCO 20-30 Agenda, by Dr. Luis Tamayo Pérez, Director of El Colegio de Morelos
· The Earth Charter. A framework of values for Education, by Dr. Laura Ortíz Hernández from the Regional Focal Point in the Earth Charter in Mexico, UNESCO
· Breaking Paradigms, by L.A. Carlos I. Iturbe Ribera, President of Terra Fraterna. A.C.
The conferences were the framework for reflection on the critical situation of our planet and the urgent need to respond from educational institutions by generating changes.
The diversity of topics addressed through the conferences, provided attendees with current information on global and local environmental issues and presented elements to contextualize possible interventions of teachers in the Framework of Education for the XXI Century in the Agenda 20-30 UNESCO and the New Educational Model.
In the second part of the Encounter, attendees were at work tables aiming to organize actions within the framework of the “Escuelas Verdes” Network, which will provide them with the opportunity to participate in workshops and seminars of its 2018 Program, as well as access to resource management for the implementation of projects and counting on an Environmental Education Guide aligned with the New Educational Model.
For the Sustainable Campuses project, attending the Meeting represented an opportunity to establish and strengthen inter-institutional links, establish alliances and jointly promote strategies that help to move towards sustainability and thus advance in the achievement of the objective of our Project.
